What would you give to have access to the catalogs of thousands of libraries around the world?
How about . . . nothing?
Check out www.worldcat.org and you will have just that. This is a new initiative that involves public libraries, university libraries, research libraries and so on, from around the world, who make their catalogs available on the Web. Using WorldCat, you can find books, videos, DVDs, recordings, whatever, available in your vicinity. Some of the material -- I don't know how much -- can be downloaded directly from the catalog. I am adding a WorldCat search box on the right-hand side of the page for your perusal and use.
Enjoy.
